Who We Are

Soaring to a future free from domestic violence.

Three Birds Alliance (formerly Gateway Domestic Violence Services) provides pathways to healing and hope for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. Established in 1979, Three Birds Alliance is the only domestic violence agency providing safe shelter and holistic programming for adults, families and their pets in the City of Aurora and Adams and Arapahoe Counties.

Introducing Three Birds Alliance

During our 45th anniversary year, we spent time thinking about our past, present and future. This reflection led us to a new name that embodies both our organization’s evolution as well as the journey of survivors on their path to independence.

We wanted to shed light on the path those fleeing domestic violence face when leaving their past and finding a safe landing spot for respite as they begin to have hope and plan for a future free from domestic violence.

Our new name, Three Birds Alliance, was born out of these conversations. The number three represents the past, present and future; birds represent freedom, hope and transition; and alliance highlights the connectedness among our clients, staff and community partners.

Who We Serve

We serve anyone impacted by domestic violence, including those with disabilities, their children and their pets in the City of Aurora, Arapahoe County, Adams County, and Douglas County.
